Research Misconduct Policy
Research Misconduct Policy
Jurnal Konstruksi dan Infrastruktur (JKI) evaluates allegations of research and publication misconduct fairly, confidentially, and on the basis of evidence.
Misconduct includes fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication, inappropriate authorship, citation manipulation, manipulation of peer review, undisclosed conflicts of interest, and unethical research.
Reporting a Concern
Reports should be sent to tekniksipil.jki@gmail.com. Please identify the manuscript or published article, describe the concern, and provide relevant evidence. Reports submitted anonymously may be considered when sufficient evidence is available.
Assessment and Investigation
The Editor-in-Chief, or an independent editor where a conflict exists, assesses the report and determines whether further investigation is required. Relevant authors or other parties will be given an opportunity to respond. JKI may request original data, research records, ethical approval, reviewer documentation, or other supporting information.
Manuscript processing may be suspended during an investigation. Where appropriate, JKI may contact the relevant institution, funder, or research-integrity authority. Institutional investigation and editorial decisions have different purposes; JKI remains responsible for the reliability of its publication record.
Editorial Action
Depending on the evidence and seriousness of the concern, action may include requesting clarification or revision, rejecting a manuscript, publishing a correction or expression of concern, or retracting an article.
A person implicated in an allegation must not determine its outcome. Complaints involving the Editor-in-Chief will be referred to the institutional publisher for independent handling.
JKI follows relevant COPE guidance and does not treat an allegation as proof of misconduct.
