Authorship and Contributorship Policy

Authorship and Contributorship Policy

Jurnal Konstruksi dan Infrastruktur (JKI) requires authorship to reflect actual scholarly contributions. Every listed author must:

  1. Make a substantial contribution to the conception or design of the study, acquisition of data, analysis, or interpretation;

  2. Participate in drafting the manuscript or critically revising its intellectual content;

  3. Approve the final version for publication; and

  4. Accept responsibility for their contribution and cooperate in resolving questions concerning the accuracy or integrity of the work.

All four criteria must be satisfied. Funding acquisition, administrative assistance, general supervision, or professional status alone does not qualify a person for authorship.

Contributors who do not meet these criteria should be acknowledged with their permission. Guest, gift, honorary, and ghost authorship are prohibited.

The manuscript must include an Author Contribution Statement describing the actual roles of the authors. The corresponding author coordinates communication with JKI and ensures that all authors approve the submission, revisions, author list, and final manuscript.

Requests to add, remove, or rearrange authors must include a reason and written agreement from all affected authors, including those being added or removed. Changes after acceptance are considered only in exceptional, documented circumstances. Changes after publication require an appropriate public correction.

JKI may suspend processing while an authorship dispute remains unresolved and may refer the matter to the relevant institution.

Artificial intelligence tools cannot be named as authors.
