Corrections and Retractions Policy

Corrections and Retractions Policy

Jurnal Konstruksi dan Infrastruktur (JKI) maintains the accuracy and integrity of its published record through corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions.

Corrections

A correction is appropriate when an error requires public clarification but the article's principal findings remain reliable. Corrections may address errors originating from authors or the publication process.

Expressions of Concern

An expression of concern may be issued when a credible, significant concern remains unresolved, an investigation is incomplete, or available evidence is insufficient for a final decision.

Retractions

Retraction may be appropriate when findings are unreliable because of major error or misconduct, substantial plagiarism, redundant publication, unethical research, or a compromised publication process. Decisions follow relevant COPE guidance.

Procedure and Authority

Concerns should be reported to tekniksipil.jki@gmail.com with the article details and supporting evidence. The Editor-in-Chief, or an independent editor where a conflict exists, assesses the evidence, seeks relevant responses and documentation, and determines the editorial action. Institutional or specialist advice may be sought where necessary.

Author agreement will be sought where appropriate, but disagreement does not prevent an editorial action supported by sufficient evidence.

Publication of Notices

Notices will identify the affected article, explain the reason for the action, and remain publicly accessible and linked to the article. Retracted articles will be clearly marked. The original record will normally remain accessible with its status indicated.

Exceptional removal requires a documented legal, privacy, or serious safety justification; an explanatory notice will remain wherever possible.

An author may request reconsideration by providing new evidence or identifying a substantive procedural error.
