Conflict of Interest Policy

Conflict of Interest Policy

Jurnal Konstruksi dan Infrastruktur (JKI) requires authors, reviewers, and editors to disclose interests that could influence, or reasonably appear to influence, research or editorial judgment.

Authors

Authors must disclose relevant financial, employment, consultancy, contractual, personal, institutional, or professional interests. Funding sources and the funder's role in the research must also be stated.

A Conflict of Interest Statement must appear in the manuscript. Where no relevant interest exists, authors should state:

“The authors declare no conflict of interest.”

Disclosure does not automatically prevent publication. It allows the journal and readers to evaluate the work transparently.

Reviewers

Reviewers must inform the handling editor of potential conflicts before accepting an assignment or promptly when a conflict becomes apparent. A reviewer must decline or discontinue a review when impartial assessment cannot be assured.

Editors

Editors must recuse themselves from handling or deciding on manuscripts in which they have a relevant conflict. Responsibility must be transferred to a qualified, independent editor.

Manuscripts authored by editors, editorial board members, reviewers, or persons associated with the publisher receive the same screening and independent peer review as other submissions. Author-editors must not select reviewers or participate in decisions on their own manuscripts.

Conflicts Identified After Publication

Undisclosed interests will be assessed under the Research Misconduct Policy. JKI may publish a correction or take further action where the omission affects the reliability or integrity of the article.
