Focus and Scope

Jurnal Konstruksi dan Infrastruktur (JKI) provides a scholarly forum for research that advances the analysis, planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance, and evaluation of civil engineering systems and infrastructure.

The journal welcomes studies that demonstrate a clearly defined problem, appropriate methods, reliable evidence, and a contribution to engineering knowledge or practice.

The scope includes:

  1. Structural engineering and construction materials;

  2. Geotechnical engineering, soil mechanics, and foundation engineering;

  3. Water resources engineering, hydrology, and hydraulic structures;

  4. Transportation engineering, traffic safety, pavement engineering, and transport infrastructure;

  5. Construction engineering and management; and

  6. Infrastructure planning, performance, resilience, maintenance, and sustainability.

Interdisciplinary studies are considered when their contribution to civil engineering or infrastructure is clearly demonstrated.

A local case study must explain the analytical, methodological, or practical contribution beyond a description of the study location. Software outputs, routine design calculations, and project descriptions require adequate validation, interpretation, and discussion to constitute a scholarly contribution.

JKI considers original research articles and critical review articles relevant to its scope. Review articles must provide a transparent approach to selecting and synthesizing evidence and identify a meaningful scholarly contribution.

Manuscripts may be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English and must comply with the Author Guidelines and publication ethics.
