JNPM (Jurnal Nasional Pendidikan Matematika) screens manuscripts for similarity to safeguard originality. This policy should be read alongside the Publication Ethics and Author Guidelines.
Manuscripts must meet these requirements:
Overall similarity: maximum 20%.
Similarity from any single source: maximum 2%.
Scores are screening benchmarks, not conclusive evidence of plagiarism or guarantees of acceptance.
Editors examine the source, extent, location, and context of matches. References, legitimate quotations, standard terminology, and mathematical notation may be assessed separately. Exclusions do not remove attribution obligations.
Authors must acknowledge borrowed ideas, text, data, figures, and instruments and disclose reuse of their own work.
Submissions derived from theses, dissertations, preprints, or proceedings must disclose earlier versions, satisfy permission requirements, and demonstrate a worthwhile contribution. Changing titles or wording alone does not establish originality.
Excessive similarity may require revision and rescreening. Substantial plagiarism, duplication, or screening manipulation may lead to rejection.
Post-publication concerns may require clarification, correction, an expression of concern, or retraction, informed by COPE guidance.
Authors remain responsible for originality and must not disguise copied material. Appeals require explanations and evidence. The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision following fair assessment.
