Journal History

JNPM (Jurnal Nasional Pendidikan Matematika) began publication in 2017 as a scholarly journal dedicated to mathematics education. The journal is published by Universitas Swadaya Gunung Djati, Cirebon, Indonesia, in collaboration with the Indonesian Mathematics Educators’ Society (IMES).

The inaugural issue, Volume 1, Number 1, was published on 25 March 2017, comprising 11 articles on pages 1–177. It featured research on mathematics teaching and learning, mathematical abilities, instructional approaches, and mathematics teacher education.

DOAJ Indexing

JNPM was added to the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) on 12 December 2017, during its first year of publication. The journal’s indexing record is available through its DOAJ profile.

National Accreditation and SINTA

JNPM’s national accreditation history includes an upgrade from Rank 4 (SINTA 4) to Rank 3 (SINTA 3) in the 2019 accreditation results, effective from Volume 3, Number 1 (2019).

Development of the Manuscript Template

In 2020, JNPM introduced a revised manuscript template, replacing the version used for Volumes 1–3. The revised template incorporated DOI information and provided more detailed guidance on article formatting and content.

Development of the Publication Schedule

From 2017 to 2021, JNPM published two issues per year, corresponding to the March and September editions and covering Volumes 1–5.

Beginning with Volume 6 in 2022, the journal increased its publication frequency to four issues per year, with a publication schedule of March, June, September, and December.

Journal Identity

JNPM carries ISSN 2549-8495 for its print edition and ISSN 2549-4937 for its online edition. Published articles use the DOI prefix 10.33603.

The journal publishes theoretical studies and empirical research in mathematics education and accepts manuscripts in Indonesian and English. Its emphasis on research within the Indonesian context contributes to scholarly discussion among national and international readers.
