About the Journal

Journal of Green Science and Technology (JGST) is a peer-reviewed and open-access scholarly journal published by the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Swadaya Gunung Jati, Cirebon, Indonesia.

JGST has been published since 2017 with P-ISSN 2598-1277 and E-ISSN 2621-3966.

The journal provides an interdisciplinary scholarly platform for researchers, academics, practitioners, engineers, and professionals to disseminate original research articles and critical review articles addressing scientific and technological developments in engineering and their contribution to environmental sustainability and sustainable development.

JGST particularly focuses on the following areas:

  • Green Technology
  • Sustainable Engineering
  • Environmental Engineering
  • Renewable Energy
  • Sustainable Infrastructure
  • Engineering

Within these areas, JGST welcomes relevant research from various engineering disciplines, including:

  • Civil Engineering;
  • Architectural Engineering and Sustainable Architecture;
  • Environmental Engineering;
  • Chemical Engineering;
  • Mechanical Engineering;
  • Electrical Engineering;
  • Industrial Engineering;
  • Informatics and Computer Engineering;
  • Materials and Manufacturing Engineering; and
  • other interdisciplinary engineering fields related to sustainability, environmental protection, resource efficiency, green technology, renewable energy, and sustainable development.

The journal welcomes research concerning, among others, environmentally responsible technologies, sustainable engineering design, pollution prevention and control, water and wastewater treatment, waste management and resource recovery, renewable and low-carbon energy systems, energy efficiency, sustainable buildings and construction, sustainable transportation, resilient infrastructure, green materials, cleaner production, circular economy applications, and digital technologies supporting sustainability.

All manuscripts submitted to JGST must be written in English and must demonstrate a clear scientific, technological, engineering, environmental, or sustainability contribution within the journal's stated aims and scope.

JGST publishes manuscripts including:

  • original research articles;
  • experimental and laboratory studies;
  • field studies;
  • numerical and computational studies;
  • modelling and simulation;
  • engineering design and optimization studies;
  • scientifically grounded case studies;
  • technological development and innovation studies; and
  • critical review articles providing substantial synthesis and analysis of current scientific knowledge.

JGST is published regularly twice a year, in March and September. The journal may also publish Special Issues outside the regular publication schedule when appropriate. Special Issues do not replace the regular March and September issues and are subject to the same editorial, peer-review, ethical, and scientific standards as regular issues.

JGST is currently accredited SINTA 4 under the Indonesian National Journal Accreditation system (ARJUNA), based on Decree No. 230/E/KPT/2022, with the current accreditation period extending through 2027.

JGST is committed to open-access publishing, academic integrity, transparent and independent peer review, editorial independence, publication ethics, responsible research practices, and the dissemination of high-quality scholarly research.

Through its publications, JGST aims to contribute to the advancement of engineering knowledge and technological innovation that supports environmental sustainability, resource efficiency, resilient infrastructure, and sustainable development at national and international levels.
