Post-Publication Discussion Policy

Journal of Green Science and Technology (JGST) supports responsible scholarly discussion and critical evaluation after publication.

Readers, authors, reviewers, researchers, institutions, and other members of the scholarly community may submit comments, concerns, requests for clarification, or other relevant information regarding published articles.

Submitting a Post-Publication Concern

Post-publication concerns should be submitted through the official editorial contact information provided on the JGST website.

The submission should:

  • clearly identify the article concerned;
  • explain the issue in a factual and specific manner;
  • provide relevant evidence or supporting information where available; and
  • focus on scholarly, methodological, ethical, factual, or publication-integrity matters.

Personal attacks, defamatory statements, or concerns unrelated to the scholarly content or integrity of the article will not be considered part of responsible post-publication discussion.

Editorial Assessment

The editorial team will conduct an initial assessment of the concern.

Where appropriate, the journal may:

  • request additional information from the person raising the concern;
  • invite the author(s) of the published article to respond;
  • consult reviewers, editorial board members, institutions, ethics committees, or other qualified parties; or
  • undertake further editorial assessment.

Author Response

Where appropriate, authors will be given a reasonable opportunity to respond to the concern and provide clarification or supporting documentation.

Editorial Outcome

If post-publication discussion identifies an error, ethical concern, or issue affecting the reliability or integrity of the scholarly record, JGST may take appropriate action, including:

  • publication of a correction;
  • publication of an Expression of Concern;
  • retraction;
  • clarification or editorial notice; or
  • other appropriate action consistent with the journal's publication ethics policies.

Where a formal editorial action is taken, the resulting notice will be publicly documented and linked to the affected article.

Principles of Discussion

JGST aims to ensure that post-publication discussion is handled fairly, transparently, respectfully, and without unnecessary delay.

The journal distinguishes good-faith scholarly criticism from harassment, personal disputes, or unsupported allegations.
