Abstract

The Smoke-Free Area policy can create a healthy environment, protect the community's right to clean air, reduce the prevalence of smokers, and reduce diseases caused by exposure to cigarette smoke, especially in public spaces such as health care facilities. This study examines the implementation of the Smoke-Free Area policy at the Bojong Rawalumbu Health Center, Bekasi City, using a normative legal approach. The findings show that the implementation of this policy still faces obstacles such as low public awareness, lack of supervision, limited supporting facilities, and sanctions that are not yet firm. This study recommends strengthening supervision, consistent application of sanctions, and continuous socialization of policies to ensure the fulfillment of the right to public health.
