Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media flash card terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas 2 SD Negeri 01 Ulak Kemang. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pretest-postest control design eksperimental dengan memakai pretest-posttest only control design. Populasi yaitu siswa kelas II SD Negeri 01 Ulak Kemang berjumlah 47 orang. Populasi dilanjutkan dengan pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik sampling purposive, didapat 47 orang, yaitu kelas II.A sebagai kelas eksperimen media flash card dan kelas II.B menggunakan kemampuan membaca permulaan. Pengumpulan data diambil dengan memberikan tes kemampuan membaca permulaan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara media flash card terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan.
