EKSPLORASI ETNOMATEMATIKA PADA KESENIAN RAMPAK KENDANG DI CIREBON: STUDI ETNOGRAFI DI SANGGAR GRIYA SUPER

Abstrak

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi praktik matematis yang dijalankan dalam kesenian Rampak Kendang di Sanggar Griya Super, Gegesik Kulon, Cirebon, dengan menempatkan budaya sebagai sistem pengetahuan yang memiliki logika sendiri. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berdesain etnografis melalui observasi, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dokumentasi visual, dan catatan lapangan. Analisis memanfaatkan enam aktivitas matematis Bishop sebagai sensitizing concepts dengan membedakan pemaknaan emic praktisi dan representasi etic peneliti. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa matematika hadir secara terintegrasi melalui hitungan dan struktur tepak, periodisitas delapan ketukan, penalaran spasial relasional dalam perpindahan formasi, pengukuran berbasis kebutuhan tubuh dan ruang gerak, serta penalaran proporsional pada kebutuhan teknis pertunjukan. Keenam aktivitas counting, locating, measuring, designing, playing, dan explaining tidak bekerja sebagai kategori terpisah, tetapi membentuk jaringan tindakan temporal-spasial yang embodied dan kolektif. Temuan menegaskan bahwa Rampak Kendang lebih tepat dipahami sebagai praktik budaya tempat pengetahuan matematis dijalankan, bukan sekadar objek yang memuat konsep matematika sekolah.
