Authors who publish with Euclid agree to the following terms:
Copyright Retention
Authors retain the copyright to their published work. Euclid does not require authors to transfer copyright to the journal or publisher.
Right of First Publication
Authors grant Euclid the non-exclusive right of first publication and authorize the journal to publish, reproduce, distribute, display, preserve, index, and make the article permanently available in print, electronic, and other formats.
Creative Commons License
Published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).
Under this license, others may copy, redistribute, adapt, transform, and build upon the published work for any lawful purpose, including commercial purposes, provided that:
appropriate credit is given to the author or authors;
the original publication in Euclid is acknowledged;
a link to the license is provided;
any changes made to the original work are indicated; and
adaptations or derivative works are distributed under the same CC BY-SA 4.0 license.
Author Distribution Rights
Authors may enter into additional non-exclusive arrangements for the distribution of the published version of their work, including depositing it in institutional or subject repositories, including it in a book, or distributing it through personal or institutional websites, provided that the original publication in Euclid is properly acknowledged.
Prepublication Distribution
Authors are permitted and encouraged to share their manuscripts online before or during the submission process, including through institutional repositories or recognized preprint platforms. Such distribution must be disclosed to the Editorial Office during submission and must not violate any existing copyright or contractual obligations.
Third-Party Materials
Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted figures, tables, instruments, datasets, images, or other third-party materials that are not covered by statutory exceptions or compatible open licenses.
Any third-party material subject to different licensing terms must be clearly identified in the article. The CC BY-SA 4.0 license does not automatically apply to third-party material when otherwise indicated.
Author Warranties
By submitting and publishing an article in Euclid, the authors confirm that:
the work is original and does not unlawfully infringe the copyright, privacy, confidentiality, or other rights of any party;
all sources and third-party materials have been properly acknowledged;
all necessary permissions have been obtained;
the manuscript has not been published previously in substantially the same form, except for properly disclosed theses, dissertations, preprints, conference papers, or institutional reports; and
all authors have approved the submission, publication, and licensing of the article.
Attribution to the Published Version
When authors or other users redistribute or reuse an article, they should include the complete bibliographic citation and DOI or permanent URL of the version published by Euclid.
