HERMENEUTIKA: Journal of Legal Studies is a scientific journal published by the Master of Law Program, Graduate School of Universitas Swadaya Gunung Jati (UGJ), under the auspices of the UGJ Research Institute. This journal serves as a platform for publishing scholarly works, theoretical studies, and research findings in the field of legal science, with a particular emphasis on the hermeneutic approach. The journal is published biannually, in February and August. HERMENEUTIKA holds a registered P-ISSN 2337-6368 for its print edition and E-ISSN 2615-4439 for its online edition. The editorial office is located at Jl. Terusan Pemuda No. 01A, Cirebon 45132, and the journal is openly accessible at https://jurnal.ugj.ac.id/index.php/HERMENEUTIKA, with contact available via email at hermeneutikapascaugj@gmail.com. The journal's scope and focus cover various areas of legal studies, including legal philosophy, criminal and civil law, environmental and agrarian law, constitutional law, administrative law, international law, economic law, as well as issues related to social justice and consumer protection. The hermeneutic approach characterizes this journal, positioning law as an interpretative product that is closely linked to social context, societal values, and the dynamics of societal development. Therefore, the journal welcomes manuscripts that adopt critical-reflective approaches and seek to bridge the gap between legal texts and real-world legal practices. The journal is led by Prof. Dr. Endang Sutrisno, SH., M.Hum as Editor-in-Chief, assisted by Dr. Waluyadi, SH., MH as Vice Editor. The editorial board consists of lecturers and academics from various institutions and is supported by peer reviewers from national universities such as Universitas Pancasakti Tegal, Universitas Islam Sumatera Utara, Universitas Syiah Kuala, Universitas Wilalodra Indramayu, among others. All submitted articles undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process and are managed through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. In its management, the journal adheres to academic publishing ethics in accordance with the standards of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and has developed a transparent and accountable editorial and manuscript management system. HERMENEUTIKA is indexed in SINTA, Google Scholar, Garuda, and each published article is assigned a CrossRef DOI. Moving forward, the journal aims to improve its quality toward achieving SINTA 2 accreditation by enhancing contributions from external authors, providing training in academic writing and editing, and expanding its network of national and international peer reviewers. With a spirit of openness and academic commitment, HERMENEUTIKA aspires to continue as a competitive and impactful academic medium in the development of legal science in Indonesia.
