PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN KEWIRAUSAHAAN TERHADAP NIAT BERWIRAUSAHA: PERAN MEDIASI EFIKASI DIRI DAN MODERASI LINGKUNGAN KEWIRAUSAHAAN

Entrepreneurship education has been widely implemented in higher education to encourage students to pursue entrepreneurship as a career. However, entrepreneurial intention among university students remains relatively low, indicating that entrepreneurship education alone may not be sufficient to foster entrepreneurial intention. This study examines the effect of entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurial intention through entrepreneurial self-efficacy as a mediating variable and the entrepreneurial environment as a moderating variable among students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sebelas Maret University. This study employed a quantitative approach with a sample of 162 students from the Economic Education, Accounting Education, and Office Administration Education study programs, which belong to the economics education cluster, selected using probability sampling. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that entrepreneurship education has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial self-efficacy. Entrepreneurial self-efficacy also has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial intention. In addition, entrepreneurship education positively influences entrepreneurial intention. Entrepreneurial self-efficacy mediates the relationship between entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial intention, while the entrepreneurial environment positively moderates the relationship between entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intention. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening entrepreneurship education and fostering a supportive entrepreneurial environment to enhance students' entrepreneurial intentions. Future research is recommended to expand the research setting and incorporate additional variables that may influence entrepreneurial intention.
