STUDI AWAL MOTIVASI BELAJAR MAHASISWA PENDIDIKAN GURU SEKOLAH DASAR (PGSD) PADA MATA KULIAH KONSEP DASAR IPA

Motivasi merupakan salah satu faktor utama yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan atau kegagalan dalam pembelajaran dan pengajaran Salah satu pendekatan yang dapat digunakan untuk mengetahui tingkat motivasi belajar mahasiswa yaitu model ARCS. Empat aspek yang menjadi bagian penyusun motivasi tersebut adalah aspek attention, relevance, confidence, dan satisfaction. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui mengetahui tingkat motivasi belajar mahasiswa S1 PGSD Universitas Islam Raden Rahmat pada Mata Kuliah Konsep Dasar IPA. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode survei, dalam hal ini menggunakan angket motivasi mahasiswa. Subjek penelitian adalah terdiri dari empat kelas dengan total 76 mahasiswa pada Prodi PGSD dan PGMI Universitas Islam Raden Rahmat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar mahasiswa PGSD pada aspek attention dan relevance berada pada kategori cukup sedangkan untuk aspek confidence dan satisfaction berada pada kategori tinggi. Namun demikian, motivasi belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Konsep Dasar IPA masih perlu ditingkatkan.
