About the Journal

JPSIP: Journal of Community Service in Social and Political Sciences is a scholarly journal that publishes articles on the outcomes of community service activities in the fields of social sciences and political sciences. It is published by the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Swadaya Gunung Jati University as a platform for disseminating innovative, applicable, and socially impactful community service practices. JPSIP provides an academic forum for lecturers, researchers, practitioners, and community service actors to share knowledge-based initiatives aimed at addressing social issues, strengthening community capacity, and enhancing public welfare.

The focus and scope of JPSIP include a wide range of community service activities, such as community empowerment, political education, social advocacy, public communication, institutional strengthening, knowledge-based community development, social training, community assistance, strengthening citizen participation, and social innovation. The journal welcomes manuscripts that demonstrate the practical, collaborative, and socially relevant application of academic knowledge.

All manuscripts submitted to JPSIP undergo an initial editorial screening and further evaluation in accordance with the journal’s editorial policies. Authors are required to comply with the author guidelines and article template provided by the journal. Manuscripts that do not conform to the required writing and formatting standards may be rejected at the preliminary stage before entering the review process. The final decision on the acceptance or rejection of a manuscript rests with the editorial board based on the results of the editorial evaluation process.

JPSIP is committed to an open access policy, ensuring that all published articles are freely accessible to readers in order to promote the wider dissemination of knowledge and community service practices. Information regarding copyright, publication ethics, privacy policy, and other editorial policies is provided on the journal’s official website. JPSIP is published biannually, in the periods of January–June and July–December, and is managed through an electronic journal system to support a transparent and standardized publication process.
