Sustainable Development Regulation to Improve Local Wisdom-Based Legal and Technological Innovation

Abstract

Sustainable development is an important paradigm in policy planning and implementation that aims to meet the needs of the present without compromising the capabilities of future generations. To achieve this goal, sustainable development regulations need to be improved by utilizing legal and technological innovations based on local wisdom. Local wisdom, which includes the knowledge, practices, and traditional values of local communities, offers solutions that have been proven effective in maintaining the balance between human needs and environmental sustainability. Innovative sustainable development regulations must be able to combine modern principles with local wisdom. This integration not only strengthens the legal and policy framework but also encourages the adoption of technologies that are appropriate to the local context. For example, environmentally friendly technologies inspired by traditional practices can be an effective alternative in managing natural resources and reducing negative environmental impacts. This study explores how sustainable development regulations can be optimized through an innovative approach that combines local wisdom-based laws and technologies. The study identifies regulatory models that adopt elements of local wisdom, such as community-based resource management and traditional conservation techniques, and how modern technology can strengthen the implementation of these practices. The analysis is carried out through case studies and comparative evaluations of various initiatives that have successfully implemented these principles.
